The live trap caught our chicken predator last night, with a can of cat food. The Opossum was young, which is probably why the trap worked. The hens are still weary of the coop, and it will take a while to regain their trust; also, a lot more vigilance. I’d like to say I feel better now, having caught the culprit, I do, but there is still need for a better coop. For now, the hens are safe, but nothing is ever completely safe.
